What is API Mapper?

API Mapper is a YOOtheme Pro extension that allows you to connect external REST APIs to your website and use the data in YOOtheme's page builder. No coding required.

Which platforms are supported?

API Mapper is available for both WordPress and Joomla. The Developer license includes both platforms.

Do I need coding skills?

No! API Mapper is designed for non-developers. You configure connections through a visual interface, and the data automatically becomes available in YOOtheme Pro's dynamic content system.

Can I use multiple APIs?

Yes, depending on your license:

Does API Mapper work with any REST API?

API Mapper works with most REST APIs that return JSON data. This includes:

• Public APIs (weather, news, social media)
• E-commerce APIs (WooCommerce, Shopify)
• CMS APIs (WordPress REST API, headless CMS)
• Custom/internal APIs

Not supported:

• SOAP/XML APIs
• GraphQL APIs (REST only)
• APIs requiring OAuth2 browser-based authentication

How does caching work?

API Mapper caches API responses to improve performance and reduce API calls. You can configure cache duration per connection (from 0 seconds to 24 hours or more).

Will API Mapper slow down my website?

No, if configured correctly. With caching enabled, API data is stored locally and served instantly. The API is only called when the cache expires.

Can I use API Mapper on a staging site?

Yes, your license can be moved between domains. For staging/development, you can:

1. Use the same license (move it when going live)
2. Contact support for a development license

Is there a free version?

Yes! The Free tier includes:

• 1 API connection
• 5 fields per connection
• Basic authentication methods
• Community support
